What happens during a skin check?
We perform a whole body skin examination and carefully examine the skin for any signs of early skin cancer. If we see something suspicious, we can perform a biopsy and get pathology results in a few days. We can also freeze or remove lesions by cutting them out (excision).
These procedures are performed in our rooms under sterile conditions. All our surgical equipment is cleaned and sterilized according to the highest Australian industry standards. Our doctors are fully trained in all surgical and non-surgical skin cancer treatments.
Prior to any procedure, you will be given a full explanation of what is required and will be able to ask as many questions as you like. |
